Updates

* We've discovered Alex's love for tea...

Lipton tea, Pokka green tea, chinese tea, milk tea, blackcurrant tea.. even those bitter japanese green tea!

*Nowadays Alex is much more manageable, we can sit down together peacefully during meal time.

Yes, this includes eating outside too..especially if the meal includes chocolate cake or ice cream.

* Alex is getting used to my big tummy.

On good days, he will come over and pat my tummy..sometimes even kiss it too :)

On bad days, usually after i scold or reprimand him... he actually dares to slap my tummy (although lightly)

Somehow, im worried he might wallop his baby bro in future.

* Alex is OFF the sarong, he actually resists being put into sarong n rocked to sleep.so its down to "Lady Gaga lullaby" for afernoon naps and "pat to sleep on bed"

* We finally get Alex a baby car seat (yes, its been long overdue.. i know)

Before Alex was born, i considered on buying baby car seat...but many people persuade me otherwise, "a waste of money.. our kids never use baby car seat and so far so good..yadah yadah yadah"

Initally, i thought i could handle Alex in the car without a baby car seat, after all.. hubby is driving. Then my boy slowly (but steadily) morphed into a boy who behaves like a monkey in the car.. I still put up with it, occasional grumble from hubby makes the monkey in Alex behaves, but not for long.

Until i'm expecting baby no 2, i really cant imagine how to manage 2 monkeys in the car..and what if there's an accident?

Anyway, we went to Jusco to select the bb car seat..Alex resisted the first few models we tried putting him onto. Finally he settled on a red-grey Sweet Cherry one.

I didn't know that a 14 months old boy can show that kind of preference already!

* I just found out Avent bottles are sold cheaper in Indonesia.

3 bottles of 125 ml ones and 2 bottles of 260 ml ones costs 300,000 rupiah (about Rm 108). hey, it actually costs Rm 95 for 2 bottles of 260 ml (the last time i checked in jusco & parkson)

Im gonna ask Mum to buy and bring over on her next trip..

Yes, i am a scrooge..

Pacifier is still his "life"

Alex's obssesions nowadays are :

- Sister Act

Initially, he was interested in the choir singing part...

he would rock his body and even attempts to sing along.

then it slowly develops until the part where Deloris was caught by the crooks. yeah, my boy would "Oh, Eh, Ohh!!" probably translated into "run, Deloris..run!"

- Lady Gaga video clips

honestly, it amuses me .. he actually shake his bon bon to her songs!

however, MIL wasnt too happy about her grandson watching Lady Gaga's lack of clothing in those clips..

she'll tell Alex, " Lady Gaga shame shame, see..not enough baju. Alex dont grow up to be cheeky boy yar."

ha! he totally refuses to watch nursery songs and cartoon dvds..

i tried Lion King, Barney, Princess & Frog but whenever i put those on, the little rascal will just give me a bored face.

- He still loves tearing up magazines, novels and tissues..

- Cool Blog milk tea
Im totally addicted to Cool Blog Pearl Milk Tea..but no, i dont feed Alex..he just gets excited upon the sight af a Cool Blog cup on my hand..

Since he couldn't suck from straw yet, he just bite the straw and say "Ahhhh" then he'll be contented... thankfully! :D

Bumbo Baby Seat

Alex's Bumbo Baby Seat had arrived!

I'm super happy lor.. i ordered it from LittleWhiz.com on 25 June'09 evening..

It arrived at my doorstep on 27 June'09 noon, fast and professional right?

hehe...

After Alex's feeding, i let try the new blue Bumbo seat...

Alex doesn't like to lie down too much when he's awake..i suppose other babies his age react the same way..

Sometimes i have to leave him to do some chores...washing bottles, picking up phone, taking in laundries when it started to drizzle etc.

so i'd put him down in a lying position..

carrying him around is not a solution..its super tiring leh!

the boy is 6kg++ liao, and im not a gym bunny.

The moment i put him down, he would wail loudly [as if kena tortured!]

In the end my kay-poh neighbour always come over and ask "why he cry ar? you beat him ar?"

Wah lao weh...i know his crying voice is super loud..but takkan i siao siao go and beat a three months old baby right?

That's why im super duper happy having to find this cute baby seat..

really ideal for infant who cant sit up by themselves,but able to carry up their head liao.

easy to maintain, no belts, no strings :)

Alex is able to sit in an upright position thanks to this Bumbo seat..

The seat is soft, comfie, practical and safe..light weight is a plus point too!

I can take it anywhere..perhaps when we dine outside..also can bring lor!
